From 13-16 June the Institute of Contemporary Art ICA will launch a painting workshop which will be led by London based and Nest’s artist in residence artist Robin Chuter.
First day of the four day workshop
Robin will hold a lecture about himself and his art, current art challenges and opportunities in London . He will answer the questions of the participants.
Second day
Robin will show you his unique painting techniques and will be working with the participants on the following:
1. cut / collage with precision swivel knife,
2. Ebru / Suminagashi water marble techniques using guar gum powder and colour
3. usage of calligraphy (Osmiroid B2 pen, fountain pen, ink)
4. Microliner (0.05 Uni Pin Fine line water and fade proof pigment ink pens)
Third day
Participants will already try to use the techniques and apply what they learnt during the previous workshop.
Fourth day
Final day of the workshop. The participants and Robin Chuter artist will select the best artworks.
Art critic, curator, director of Contemporary Art Institute of Yerevan Nazareth Karoyan will also participate in the selection process of the artworks for the final exhibition.
The selected work will be included in the exhibition of Robin Chuter at the end of June , hereon will be the opening of the ICA exhibition hall.
Certificates will be given to the participants.
The working language of the workshop is English, so besides learning more on new art techniques you will also enhance your spoken vocabulary with art terms and more.
